Young Life begins in the USA

In a town in Texas, at the request of his pastor, a young associate pastor named Jim Rayburn began showing young people how much God cares about them by showing up in their world and sharing the message of God's love through Jesus in ways and words they could understand and relate to.

YOUNG LIFE IS INVITED TO BEGIN IN THE UK & IRELAND

As Young Life's model of youth work continued growing healthily around the world, a group of adults from the UK and Ireland invited Young Life to begin working with young people in their communities.

Young Life International has 50+ staff and 250+ local volunteer leaders and committee members who enable the work with young people in local areas in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and England.
