About Young Life International

Young Life International is a fast-growing Christian charitable organisation. Our aim is to share the message of Jesus with young people all over the UK. We do this through building relationships with them and earning the right to be heard. We work alongside a team of volunteers and the local churches to reach out to young people from 11-18 years old. Job Summary

The YLI staff will focus their time on building relationships with unchurched young people and introducing them to Jesus. They will help grow a team of leaders who will participate actively in the relationship building, running weekly outreach clubs, and taking young people away to camps in the summers where they can hear more about Jesus. They will work alongside existing youth workers in the town to help disciple the young people who come to faith and get them connected with the local churches in Bishops Stortford.

Skills and Experience Required

The successful candidate must, by the nature of the role, be a practicing evangelical Christian and must be willing to live in Bishops Stortford or very close by. The ideal candidate will:

-Have a love of and experience working with young people

-Have a strong Christian faith and Biblical knowledge

-Be entrepreneurial

-Have demonstrated ability to reach out to and support young people and help them grow in their faith

-Have demonstrated ability to effectively recruit and lead leaders

The staff person would join the 60+ staff in the UK & Ireland, and, along with staff throughout Hertfordshire, would be supported in their work through YL staff training, staff gatherings and events.
