Our Response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus) in the UK & Ireland
Your safety and health matter most.
We care deeply about the safety and wellbeing of everyone connected with the Young Life International family in the UK and Ireland and around the world.
We continue to run - but differently.
We continue to love and support young people across our nations in this time of national crisis. When teenagers long for community more than ever, we are committed to finding creative ways to engage and support them.
Whilst clubs, connect groups, and hangouts with teenagers continue to happen virtually, we are hosting safe, indoor or outdoor person-to-person meetups and small gatherings as country governments' restrictions allow, and subject to our Person-to-Person Interactions Procedure (available upon request). Local staff are in communication with parents to discuss suitable and safe arrangements.
Young Life have created and curated digital resources for continuing spiritual growth and discipleship during this time. Check out Young Life’s digital discipleship resources at discipleship.younglife.org
We continue to make informed decisions.
We are continually monitoring developments and take into account government advice, Young Life's global precautions, and the concerns of the communities in which we serve.
2022 Summer Camping plans
After two years, we are looking forward to returning to Cairn Brae for residential camping this summer, alongside day camps in local communities around the UK and Ireland. Safety remains a key priority and we continue to monitor government guidelines.
As we've learned over these last couple of years, we all need to be flexible. Given the continuously unfolding nature of Covid-19 transmission and government guidance, our plans are subject to change at short notice. We will keep everyone informed as quickly as possible. Please refer to the Camp Parent Consent Form for clarity on our cancellation policy.
We value continued prayers for wisdom as we continue to seek creative ways to engage with young people.
Let's support each other.
Whatever your age and however you're connected, please reach out to your local staff person so that we can support you well.
Also, we ask you to stand with us - members of our UK and European family have already suffered first-hand with coronavirus - please pray for them.
Your support in prayer, giving, and friendship is sincerely appreciated as we continue to bring hope to young people.
